Accused: Prof.Latigo

The Leader of Opposition in parliament, Betty Ochan has lashed at t Prof. Morris Ogenga Latigo for undermining the activities of his mother party Forum for Democratic Change’FDC’ .

FDC top leadership developed bad blood with former Leader of Opposition Prof.Latigo after he recently attended the inauguration of Alliance for National Transformation Party which is headed by Former FDC President Gen.Mugisha Muntu.

Some radical supporters of FDC have been attacking the lawmaker for pledging his leniency to ANT and demanding that he resigns from their party by calling him a mole.

While speaking to CapitalTimes News, LOP Hon.Ochan revealed that Prof.Latigo has vehemently stopped remitting some financial contributions to party head quarters to support the day to day running of the party operations.

‘’He seems to have abandoned the party completely because ever since I was appointed by FDC party president Patrick Oboi to be the leader of opposition in Parliament, he has never attempted to attend any of the meeting for the party’ she said

LOP.Hon Bety Ochan

She went on to say that there are other several members of parliament from FDC who are also misbehaving by not following the party rules.

Hon.Ochan criticized lawmaker Prof.Latigo that as the elder and former leader of opposition by this time he would be one of the leaders working hard to bring all other party members together so that they can muzzle the ruling party National resistance movement.

Its said FDC leadership is soon holding emergency meetings to find a solution for rebel party members.

While responding to allegations,Prof.Latigo confirmed that he stopped contributing any financial support to FDC party because the current party leadership lacks accountability, morals and have failed to sort out internal party bickering among the members which has left one of the leading opposition parties in the country torn apart.
