Reshuffle: Nine Magistrates Transferred

At least nine magistrates have been transferred in the new judiciary changes.

The acting Chief Registrar Mr. Tom Chemutai, has released a press statement informing the public that transferred judicial officers will officially start their work on July 1st.

The transferred Magistrates have been asked to make appropriate arrangement to hand over their offices in accordance with the Chapter 1 section F-d of the standing orders of the Government of Uganda.

Dr Singiza Daglous has been deployed as Chief Magistrate Nakawa after end of his duty as Secretary of the Commission of Inquiry into Land Matters.

Ruth Nabaasa has been moved from Nakawa Magistrates Court to Mpigi, while  Mr. Deo Ssejemba the Chief Magistrate Masaka has been transferred to Masindi.

Mr. Kule Moses Lubangula who has been in Masindi will go to Mityana as Chief Magistrate, while George Ebong who has been from Kiboga as Chief Magistrate will move to Hoima .

While as  Kakooza Erias who has been the Chief Magistrate Mityana will move to Jinja District in the same capacity where he will replace Ms Hellen Ajio who was promoted to the position of Assistant Registrar last year.

The Grade One Magistrate Lwanga Benedict Nsibambi has been from Lugazi to Kagadi in the same reshuffle.

Mr.Chemutai hinted that the purpose of new changes is to bring effective judicial services closer to the people.
