Sad: Senior Police ICT Expert Dies In Kira Road Barracks House Fire

Police at Kira road are investigating a fire outbreak that killed senior cyber expert PC Frederick Ajubaru that took place late hours of Tuesday evening in police barracks zone,Nakawa Division.

The deceased has been a cyber information analysis expert attached to ICT department at police headquarters,Naguru.

According to Kampala metropolitan police spokesperson SSP Patrick Onyango revealed that the Police Directorate of Fire Prevention and Rescue Services with the help of the residents responded to the scene and managed to extinguish the fire before it would spread to other parts of the barracks.

” It’s unfortunate that by the time residents broke into his house,he had already taken his last breath due to smoke”,he said.

Preliminary report shows that when the fire flames broke into house,his neighbours responded to rescue his life and property by pouring water in the rooms through Windows while waiting for fire brigade to reach at the scene.

They forcefully managed to break into inside the house, unfortunately,they found the deceased lying dead on his back putting on a black pair of trousers and yellow t-shirt due to carbon monoxide.

Police team led by ASP Laden Muzahura, officer incharge of Kira road police reached at the scene and conveyed his body to the city mortuary Mulago for a post mortem.

The investigative teams have picked samples from the scene to establish the cause of the fire.
