Security Nabs First Pharmacy, UMC Victoria Hospital With Stolen Govt Covid-19 Vaccines As Citizens Languish

A joint operation conducted by the ministry of health with the help of officers from crime intelligence have arrested 10 suspects for being found in possession of the Covid-19 vaccines belonging to government.

The five suspects were arrested at First Pharmacy located in Mulago, Wandegeya and another five were also picked from Victoria hospital in Ntinda a Kampala surbab.

According to a security source, over 600 doses of AstraZeneca covid vaccines have been recovered from the two pharmacies.

A number of test tubes, ministry of health vaccination cards and consent forms have also been recovered during the sting operation.

The suspects are being detained at the Crime Intelligence Headquarters for statement recording and further processing to be arraigned before the courts of law as security continues with the operation.
