The list of “new kids on the block” in Uganda’s music scene continues to grow, with new artistes emerging almost every day.

One of the rising names is Snip Trent. The artist, who is quickly proving to be a serious contender, demands full listening attention with his heartfelt delivery and polished sound.

Snip Trent (born Nayebare Brian) is a graduate of Mass Communication and Journalism from UMCAT and also trained in Music Production at Esom School of Music. His academic background in media and hands-on production skills have clearly shaped his professional approach to music, resulting in a mature and intentional body of work.

The artiste has just teased two romantic singles from his highly anticipated 14-track debut album, Civilian Album, set for official release on *22nd May 2026. *“Love Chemistry,” features soft, breath-stealing melodies that capture the intoxicating rush of romance—so consuming it feels like needing emergency rescue. Another one is “Ngenda Naawe,” is a vulnerable yet hopeful ballad about a heart broken by memories of unfaithful love, and the healing power of genuine affection and comfort.

Signed to 48 Entertainment, Snip Trent collaborated with a strong team of producers including Bapa Beatz, Latti, R3bo Beats, and Jazboi for production, mixing, and mastering. This carefully crafted project showcases his ability to blend emotional depth with catchy, radio-friendly melodies.

Known for his self-proclaimed “Big Dog” persona and signature tagline “well well,” Snip Trent brings a unique identity to Uganda’s new school wave. He fuses lyrical storytelling with soulful vibes that resonate deeply with listeners, creating what many describe as “food for the soul.” His music doesn’t just entertain—it connects, heals, and lingers.

As the release date approaches, music lovers across Uganda and beyond are keenly awaiting the full Civilian Album. With his blend of education, technical skill, and raw talent, Snip Trent is positioned not just as another emerging voice, but as a serious artist ready to make a lasting impact on the Ugandan music industry.
