Post Bank Uganda is mourning the untimely death of its senior staff Herbert Niwagaba.

Niwagaba has been the Bank’s Head of Administration and has been so fundamental in transforming the government owned financial institution.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our Head of Administration, Herbert Niwagaba.

Herbert was not just a colleague but a cherished member of the Post Bank fraternity. He brought warmth, kindness, and dedication to every task, making a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of working alongside him.

Our hearts go out to Herbert’s family during this difficult time, and they remain in our thoughts and prayers.

Niwagaba was an alumni of Kigezi High School class of 1996-2001 and its evident the people of Rukiga district(Kamwezi) have lost a gallant son.

I took this picture with him when we bumped into each other in Kitukutwe and we had a good laugh about old times and how we don’t see each other quite often. Little did I know this would be our last meeting.

“Niwagaba Herbert you will be fondly missed. I Studied with herbert for 6 good years, and I recall when he was the overall best performer in the National Maths contest! We had good times and we shall keep them as memories. Rest well till we meet again! I pray for you and your family, especially Bakunzi Christine your wife and your lovely children. I pray for your mother and brother Kamugisha Robert God help us all!” Said Moses Karugaba, one of Niwagaba’s classmates.

Some of his work mates we talked suspected that Herbert succumbed to COVID-19 at IHK.
