The National Resisitance Movement (NRM) Electoral Commission boss Dr. Tanga Odoi has cancelled the win of state minister for animal husbandry Bright Rwamirama.

Rwamirama had been declared winner in the Isingiro North NRM primaries however, Odoi said all the votes cast in Isingiro North and South were not properly conducted and that there was massive rigging, intimidation and violence that affected the integrity of the results.

Odoi also cancelled the results of the elections held in Isingiro South, after residents rejected incumbent Alex Bakunda’s win.

Odoi said all the votes cast in Isingiro North and South were not properly conducted and that there was malpractice that affected the integrity of the results.

He announced that a decision will be taken, and that if fresh elections are to be held, it will be between September 10 and 12. Odoi said there was a lot of fraud and rigging.

“After one week, I will decide what to do; to either announce the winner after all the candidates sort themselves out or conduct a fresh election,” he said.

It is worthy noting that the just conducted NRM Elections were marred with Violence, voter rigging and Bribery.
