As the 2026 general election draws closer, the Faith of Unity has unveiled a nationwide mobilization campaign to rally support for President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM).
The initiative was officially launched by Omukama Ruhanga Owobusobozi Bisaka, the Head and Founder of the Faith, during a major gathering at the movement’s headquarters in Kampyemi, Muhooro Town Council, Kagadi District.
The event attracted thousands of believers and leaders from various intambiro (healing centres) within Uganda and beyond, including delegations from Kenya, Tanzania, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and the United States. The turnout underscored the Faith’s significant growth and its increasing international presence.

In his address, Owobusobozi Bisaka reaffirmed the Faith’s longstanding support for President Museveni and the NRM government. He noted that the President has consistently stood with the Faith of Unity during critical moments, a gesture he said has enabled the movement to thrive and expand over the years.
Owobusobozi urged followers to remain steadfast in their support, describing unity as a pillar that has propelled both the country and the Faith forward. He emphasized that the 2026 elections present an opportunity for believers to consolidate the gains made under the current leadership.
The gathering was also attended by several politicians and aspirants seeking office in the upcoming elections. Among them was Major Gen Silver Kayomba, who heads the Religion and Culture docket.

In his remarks, Maj Gen Kayomba commended Owobusobozi Bisaka for his consistent support toward government programmes and for motivating believers to embrace hard work, entrepreneurship, and the establishment of small industries. He noted that these initiatives have improved livelihoods and contributed to wealth creation among followers.
The event marked the formal start of the Faith of Unity’s mobilization activities for the 2026 presidential race. Owobusobozi Bisaka called on Ugandans, particularly his followers, to vote for President Museveni, saying continuity in leadership is essential to safeguarding the country’s development path and the progress achieved by the Faith of Unity.
The mobilization drive is expected to be rolled out across all intambiro and regional centres in the coming months as the Faith intensifies its engagement with believers ahead of the election season.
