Two ADF Militants Behind Kamwenge Attacks Killed

The Uganda People’s Defense Forces (UPDF) has put out of action a notorious Commander of the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) who commanded brutal attacks in Kamwenge district, that claimed the lives of Adrine Ngwabiiji, 78, and her two grandchildren.

Col. Deo Akiiki, the Deputy UPDF Spokesperson confirmed that the ADF Commander known as Musa Kamusi, who was the mastermind of the recent attacks in Kamwenge was killed by the UPDF  soldiers on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 from Kibale National Park.

He said UPDF also recovered from him one PK machine gun  two Improvised Explosive Devices and several ammunition.

“Kamusi, who was the mastermind behind the Kamwenge attacks has been killed in Kibale national park today morning at 9:00am. We recovered on him one PK machine gun, two Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and ammunition,” Col. Akiiki said.

ADF terrorists  have in the recent days been conducting brutal attacks on local residents in Kamwenge district and other areas within Western Uganda.

UPDF has now embarked on the recruitment of Local Defence Unit personnel -LDU in Western Uganda following  a directive from President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
