Two Dead, 15 Injured In Nabbingo Car Accident

Atleast two people have been confirmed dead while 15 others left with grave injuries in a car crash at Nabbingo, Kyengera Town Council along Kampala-Masaka highway.

Mr Richard Kakooza, one of the eyewitnesses said that a lorry truck transporting sand from Lwera swamp in Masaka to Kampala collided with a minibus that was transporting passengers to Masaka at around 1pm on Thursday.

“One of the tyres of the lorry truck got a puncture as the driver was trying to negotiate Nabbingo corner.

He lost control and collided with the minibus. The lorry driver and a boda boda rider crashed to death,” he said.
The victims were taken to Mulago national referral hospital.

A traffic police officer was found at the scene but asked not to be named because he’s not authorized to speak to journalists as investigations to find the cause of the accident is on.
