Two Deadly Terror Suspects Arrested With Explosives

Security operatives attached to the Anti-Terror Police Unit (ATPU) in Lungalunga, Mombasa County have arrested two terror suspects and recovered two firearms.

The two men were arrested at the Likoni ferry crossing after their escape efforts bore no fruits.

The two suspects, who were in a Toyota Probox, were trying to cross over from the South Coast towards Kisiwani in Mombasa.

Reports indicate that the two were coming from the Democratic Republic of Congo when about ten anti-terror Police cornered them.

While arresting the suspects, police recovered two AK-47 rifles, assorted explosives, different mobile phones and chargers and a machete from the suspects’ vehicle.

Police are yet to give a statement on the incidence as investigations to establish the motive of the two is underway.(Standardnews)
