In Uganda! Covid-19 Cases Rise To 160 As 10 Truck Drivers, 5 From Community Test Positive

The ministry of health has on May 21, 2020 registered 15 new COVID-19 cases bringing the total confirmed cases to 160 in Uganda.

According to the Health Ministry, all new confirmed cases are Ugandans where 10  are truck drivers who arrived via Elegu while 5 are among community samples.

The Ministry further clarified that all community cases were under quarantine at the time of test.

Samples of truck drivers tested were 2,101 and Community samples tested were 628

The Ministry also said, 21 positive foreign truck drivers handed over to their country of origin

In Uganda, Total Foreign truck drivers handed over to their country of origin since Presidential directive stand at 145

Total samples tested today: 2,729

COVID-19 recoveries in Uganda still stand at 66
