Ugandan Arrested With Heroin At Entebbe Airport

Ssemwogerere Huzaifa,aged 30yrs and resident of Gangu village, Wakiso district was arrested on Sunday at the Entebbe airport with Heroin packed his baggage before departure for New Delhi.
The suspected drug trafficker was arrested while checking in before getting his flight. Scanners detected them having some illegal substance hidden inside his maroon leather bag.
He was arrested in possession of 3kgs of brown narcotic stuff hidden his baggage before departure. The deputy Kampala metropolitan spokesperson,Luke Owoyesigyire said while addressing journalists at the Aviation Police (AVPOL) in Entebbe said that this is the ninth suspect to be arrested by the aviation police in last couple of months following of airport clearing agents that were arrested last month.
He added that scanners detected him having some illegal substances in his bag.Owoyesigyire said he will be charged with unlawful possession of narcotic drugs contrary to section 4(1) and 2(a) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (control) Act 2016.
He said that the samples will be taken to the Government Analytical Laboratories (GAL) to confirm and give us a report which will be used to ensure the suspect is prosecuted”
He revealed that a fortnight ago ,a Dutch national Mr Jhinkole Rai alias Ruben was arrested at Entebbe airport of heroine worth Shs7.5 billion that was concealed in chocolate packets.credit Xpressnews
