Several Ugandans have come out to express their discontent about a city car importer identified as Mpaata Nelson, who is the proprietor of Mpaatanel Ltd, a car import dealership, whom they accuse of failure to act ethically and professionally in his dealings with clients.

The affected clients contend that Mpaata, who is an agent of Be Forward, a Japanese car dealership, is fond of causing unnecessary delays by failing to deliver vehicles for his clients, even when he has been fully paid for the transaction.

As a result of his unscrupulous ways of operation, several international car buyers are crying foul about Mpaata’s dubious actions, which often result in them losing money as a result of his failure to deliver in time, as agreed between him as the seller, and the client as the buyer.

According to sources, the pattern emerges from several accounts whereby buyers, after transferring funds to Mpaata for the purchase of vehicles from abroad, encounter unnecessary delays and lack of transparency.

It is said that in many instances, the initiation of the import process is delayed until Mpaata receives legal threats from clients’ attorneys.

However, this practice not only causes frustration and inconvenience but also raises serious questions about the safety and security of clients’ funds.

Some customers also report an insolent attitude from Mpaata whenever he is confronted about these delays, yet he can’t give them any logical explanation as to why he can’t deliver on time.

One client, George Opio, detailed his experience in a series of messages, revealing a lack of updates on progress and evasion of responsibility on the side of Mpaata.

However, it should be noted that Opio’s case is not isolated, because numerous other clients have over time voiced similar concerns about the matter.

What’s even worse is that complaints made to Be Forward in Japan by clients about Mpaata’s conduct often go ignored, leaving clients feeling helpless and ignored.

This lack of accountability and support from Be Forward however raises significant concerns about their choice of representatives and the overall safety of international transactions with their agents.

This is because such a situation serves as a cautionary tale for potential car buyers looking to purchase vehicles from abroad.

It also underscores the importance of conducting thorough background checks on agents and ensuring clear communication and transparency in all aspects of the transaction.

Additionally, it calls for more stringent oversight by companies like Be Forward in the selection and monitoring of their agents to protect the interests and investments of their customers.

Efforts to secure a comment from Mpaata about this matter were however futile by press time because he couldn’t be reached through his office telephone lines.

It should however be noted that this is a developing story and that updates about Mpaata’s malfeasances are coming up in our subsequent reporting.
