Uganda’s Covid-19 Cases Rise To 696 As 11 Are Confirmed Positive

Uganda’s coronavirus cases have increased to 696 with 11 new infections recorded on Saturday.

The results were announced on Sunday morning, indicating that six of the new cases were of truck drivers.

The Health Ministry also revealed that one more Frontline worker tested positive bringing their total to 28.

They also stated that 33 foreign truck drivers tested positive for COVID-19 and were handed back to their country of origin

Total Recoveries: 240

Samples from Points of Entry tested today: 1,564

Samples from alerts and contacts: 1,385

Total samples tested: 2,949

Uganda has no coronavirus deaths and has recorded 119 recoveries.
