LoP Betty Ocan Survives Gulu Highway Road Accident

The leader of opposition in Parliament Betty Aol Ocan, who doubles as the Gulu district woman Member of Parliament was on Monday morning involved in a road accident along the Gulu-Kampala highway.

Aol Ocan was travelling in her official vehicle registration number UG 0346H when it knocked a pickup truck registration number UAX 888V from behind at around 8am in the areas of Bobi Sub County in Omoro district.

The legislator, her body guard Agnes Apucu and the driver Denis Nono survived without any injuries. They were traveling to Kampala from Gulu.

Jimmy Patrick Okema, the Aswa River Region Police spokesperson confirmed the accident, adding that both vehicles have been impounded at Bobi police post.

This is the second time the LOP has been involved in road accident along the Gulu-Kampala highway after that of 2013.
