Gov’t Clears Brian Kavuya’s Wife To Fly For Medical Attention Amidst Covid-19 Lockdown

The government has allowed wife of city businessman Brian Kavuya to fly to Kenya for medical treatment amid the ongoing Coronavirus Lockdown.

In a letter to the Permanent Secretaries Ministry Of Health, Internal Affairs and Joint Staff Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF), Ambassador Charles Ssentongo said that Mr. Brian Kavuya Passport number AOO198227 is the husband to miss Kara Tanya Komuhangi who was cleared for medical evacuation to Nairobi scheduled on 16, June, 2020. He has obtained permission from the government of Kenya to accompany his wife for medical attention at Aga Khan University Hospital.

He added that the family has committed to comply with the COVID-19 control measures in both Uganda and Kenya.

“This is to request for your necessary facilitation to enable Mr. Brian Kavuya to accompany his wife during the medical evacuation,” also reads in the statement.

Who Is Brian Kavuya?

Son of Tycoon Ben Kayuya, Brian is the lead and chief steward of Legacy Group. He is incharge of the day to day running of the Company and brings with him a vast experience in business management specifically in real estate and bridge finance.

As Managing director, Brian has structured some of the most lucrative and complex financial transactions. He has experience in performing thorough but expedited due diligence on potential clients most of whom provide real estate as security. Brian also has experience in both commercial and residential real estate development.

Brian has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering degree from the University of Cape Town.
