Exposed: Dfcu Bank Under Fire For Hiding Covid-19 Positive Numbers Among Staff

Struggling Dfcu bank has again come under fire for allegedly hiding corona numbers among its staffs at various branches in Kampala.

Sources within Dfcu have disclosed that the bank has registered multiple undisclosed cases in the branches of Kampala Road branch, former crane chambers where three are sick so far, Ntinda capital shoppers branch where two are sick and are not reporting for duty and other two branches have sick staff members.

It is also alleged that at Ntinda capital shoppers branch two staff members are also sick and not reporting on duty and several other cases at two of its branches in Kampala.

“Unfortunately Dfcu is hiding this information, banks nolonger disclose COVID information that it will scare away clients .Pray for our mother land” An insider says.

The bank last reported corona virus cases in August and shut its Lugogo Branch in Kampala after five of its staff tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19).

The Bank said in all exposed colleagues in the branch were undergoing tests and would self-isolate for 14 days.”

Workplaces and public transport have been identified as key areas where people are getting infected following a relaxation the Standard Operating Procedures.

As of 26th November, Uganda has registered 18,890 cases of COVID-19, with 191 deaths.
