Generous Heart! Ruparelia Foundation, Victoria University Donate Shs10m To Para Badminton International Tournament

City Mogul, Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia through the charitable arm of The Ruparelia Foundation and Victoria University has donated Shs10m to the ongoing Uganda Para Badminton International Tournament.

The tournament which kicked off on November 15, 2021 attracts Persons with Disability. It ends 21 November 2021.

“With teams from all over the world competing for the ultimate prize, we are supporting every country whose students are studying with us,” Victoria University ahead of the tournament start.

Over 24 countries participated in this tournament at at the Lugogo MTN Arena with India bringing in the highest number of players. India also won the highest number of medals, 47 medals including 16 golds.

“It was a good match and it feels good to break the jinx and win a gold medal after 2 years. This will motivate me to work harder,” India’s Sukant Kadam said. World number one Pramod Bhagat had a tough day in office as the Tokyo Paralympics gold medalist lost all his three finals.
