Health Ministry Staff Arrested Over Abuse of Office,Vehicle Impounded

Police in Wakiso have impounded ministry of health motorvehicle UG6495 M (Box body) for carrying construction materials.

According to Kampala metropolitan Police deputy spokesperson Luke Oweyesigyire revealed that after  recieveing a tip-off from the office of the IGG,police staged a check point along Buloba-Mityana road and nabbed a driver who was carrying unwanted goods in a government vehicle at around 10pm on Tuesday evening.

“The car is currently parked at Buloba Police as investigations continue into the allegations of abuse of office”,he said.

One person identified as Kugonza Geofrey, the driver of the motor vehicle is currently in police hands.

Police is yet to establish how many people were involved in the deal.
