20 Passengers Perish In FortPortal Link Bus Accident

Atleast twenty (20) people have been confirmed dead, with several injured after a Link Bus traveling to Kampala overturned along Fort Portal highway.

The fatal accident according to Traffic Police spokesperson, Ms. Faridah Nampiima happened at around 10:30 am, at a place called Sebitoli, 2 kilometers from Fort Portal City.

According to Nampiima, “20 people have been confirmed dead, out of whom 13 are adults while 7 are juveniles. Out of the twenty, 11 are male and nine are female,” she said, adding that particulars of the deceased will be availed in due course.

She added that the casualties had been rushed to Buhinga hospital for first aid while the dead are at the same hospital for postmortem.
