The former Arua Municipality Parliamentary Aspirant Nusura Tiperu is in trouble following a warrant of arrest issued against her by the High Court in Arua for failure to pay election petition costs worth 83 Million Shillings.

The warrant of arrest which is signed by the Assistant Deputy Registrar of Arua High Court indicates that the former legislator failed to pay costs to a tune of Shillings 83, 880,40.
“This is to command you to arrest Hon. Nusura Tiperu the Judgement debtor to pay to you the sum of UGX 83,880,400 together with the sum for costs of executing this process and bring her to court with all convenient speed,” reads the warrant.

Tiperu petitioned the High Court in September 2018 seeking nullification of Kassiano Wadri’s victory. Wadri stood as an Independent candidate in the election. According to records, Tiperi dragged Wadri together with the Electoral Commission to court, claiming that his agents incited violence while the EC registered non-residents for the election.

However, she lost in March 2019 when Justice Anthony Oyuko Ojok dismissed the petition with costs on grounds that Tiperu failed to convince the court that there were irregularities in the electoral process.

This morning, Wadri said that they have been expecting the money together with his Lawyer Donato Kania for the last six months but nothing.howwibiz
