Kagame’s Daughter Ange Ties Knot In Lavish Traditional Ceremony

Rwanda’s only first daughter is finally off the market after marrying her better half Bertrand ‘Billy’ Ndengeyingoma on Friday at a traditional ceremony in Ntebe.

aba in the Tutsi traditional culture, was held at the President’s rural home in Kayonza District and was attended by close friends and family only. Ange Kagame is the only daughter to President Paul Kagame and First Lady Jeannette Kagame.

Standing at approximately 6’4″, Ange was for the first time not the tallest person in the room as she wedded Billy, a Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) trained urban planner.

The lovebirds wore traditional attires with Billy and his friends’ donned white while Ange did an olive green.

Standing out as a wedding of the elites, the two longtime lovers boast of rich educational backgrounds. Billy holds a Bachelor of Science Civil Engineering degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and is currently a PhD candidate at the London School of Economics. Ange, on the other hand, is a political science graduate from Massachusetts’ Smith College.
