Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) has launched a campaign aimed at mobilising its supporters countrywide to fill all vacant positions in the FDC party grassroot structures ahead of the 2021 General Election.

The former FDC national treasurer, Mr Jack Sabiiti, told Daily Monitor in an interview on Monday in Kabale Town, where FDC party leaders from the districts of Kigezi Sub-region gathered for a one-day preparation meeting, that FDC party members must participate in all elective positions.

“We have informed all the relevant authorities in the ruling government about our nationwide mobilisation campaign and all we need is protection rather than disrupting our exercise. This campaign is aimed at re-energising the party supporters to be able to contest right from LC1 to presidency as we prepare a landslide victory in 2021 General Election,” Mr Sabiiti said.

Mr Sabiiti is heading the FDC mobilisation committee for south-western region, accompanied by FDC national mobiliser Ingrid Turinawe, the Rukungiri Municipality Member of Parliament, Mr Ronald Mugume Kaginda, the FDC deputy National Secretary General-in-Charge of Policy and Research, Dr Joseph Tindyebwa.

They asked people not to be intimidated by anyone and amplify mobilisation for the success of their party.Dailymonitor
