147 Hardcore Criminals Arrested Over Nothern Bypass Murders,Robberies

A joint security team led by the Commander Kampala Metropolitan Police , CP Moses Kafeero last night carried out an intelligence led operation along Northern bypass and arrested several hard core criminals.

This operations comes after complaints from the public of thugs along the Northern bypass who have been magging and assaulting them before taking away their property .
The operation covered areas of Kawempe, Wandegeya /Kalerwa, Kyebando, Kisasisi, Bweyogere and Kiira road most suspects were netted along Northern bypass stretch.
About 147 suspects were arrested (Kawempe 40 , wandegeya 48 , Kira Division 10 and Kiira road 49 ).
The suspects were got with exhibits that included marijuana, suspected stolen phones, breaking implements and knives.
The suspects are detained at Kawempe, Kira Road and Wandegeya Police Stations pending screening and Court respectively.
