The Executive arm of government and the Judiciary are headed for a collision course after president William Ruto yesterday vowed to disobey corrupt orders citing judicial impunity between corrupt judicial officers and unnamed individuals out to sabotage government agenda.

And to make good his threat, the president ordered Roads Principal Secretary Joseph Mbugua to move with speed and allocate funds for the construction of a road in Nyandarua county which had stalled following a court order.

The openly agitated Head of State spoke while addressing mourners during the burial of Michael Maigo Waweru, the father to Nyandarua Senator John Methu in Njabini.

The president vowed to disregard stay orders issued by some judges and implement projects notably his pet Affordable Housing project and the Social Health Insurance Act.

The Head of State publicly accused some judges of being part of corruption cartels colluding to frustrate government programmes and vowed to crush such cartels.

According to the Head of State, some powerful persons have taken captive some judicial officers to frustrate efforts by his administration to implement programmes aimed at transforming the lives of Kenyans.

“We are a democracy. We respect and we will protect the independence of the Judiciary. What we will not allow is Judicial tyranny and Judiciary impunity. That will not happen.” The president said.

“People with vested interests, who are beneficiaries of corruption in the former NHIF ganging up with corrupt judicial officials to stall the programme that is going to make it possible for ordinary citizens to access healthcare so that they can continue to steal, I want to tell them it will not happen in Kenya again. We will stop it.” The president retorted.
