Miss Tourism Uganda has entered into a strategic partnership with EgyptAir aimed at promoting tourism and cultural relations between Uganda and Egypt.

The agreement, which officials described as a major milestone, is expected to raise the pageant’s international profile while supporting efforts to strengthen tourism cooperation between the two countries.

Under the partnership, EgyptAir will provide air tickets to the winners of the 2026 and 2027 Miss Tourism Uganda editions to support cross-border tourism promotion.

Speaking during the signing ceremony, the pageant’s Relationship Manager said the collaboration marks an important step in positioning Miss Tourism Uganda as a global tourism platform.

She noted that partnerships of this nature are essential in expanding the reach of Uganda’s tourism sector and creating more opportunities for young people.

EgyptAir’s Country Manager, Kamal Ahmed, said the arrangement is likely to increase passenger traffic between Kampala and Cairo, with potential for more flights in future.

He added that the partnership would not only encourage travel but also create opportunities for youth exposure and skills development.

The collaboration also enabled Miss Tourism Uganda Nachap and Man of Tourism Amuriat to join the Embassy of Uganda in Cairo, where they took part in promoting coffee and tea at what was described as the first-ever expo of its kind, in a bid to strengthen business ties with the Egyptian community.

The Miss Tourism Uganda 2026 grand finale is scheduled for September 4 at Serena Hotel in Kampala.

This year’s competition will be held under the theme “AI, Tourism and Culture,” focusing on the role of technology in promoting heritage and tourism.

EgyptAir currently operates five weekly flights between Cairo and Entebbe using Airbus A320neo aircraft, a service that continues to improve connectivity for tourism and business travel between Uganda and Egypt.
