Coca-Cola’s Essawa Yonna Kisoboka campaign is giving Uganda’s young people an opportunity to turn their creativity into exciting rewards through its ongoing digital content creation challenge, which recently engaged students at YMCA Buwambo Campus.

The October 26 activation at YMCA brought the campaign closer to students, encouraging them to explore digital storytelling, create original content and participate in a competition that rewards creativity and audience engagement.

While music, entertainment and football excitement added to the campus atmosphere, the spotlight was on the opportunity for students to move beyond consuming online content and become creators themselves. Through the challenge, young Ugandans can tell their own stories, share the moments they enjoy and compete for cash prizes and other rewards.

The campaign encourages participants to draw inspiration from the things they love, including football, matchday celebrations, music, dance, comedy, fashion, food and time spent with friends. Whether capturing the excitement of a football match, sharing playful football banter or creating a short video around an everyday experience, participants are encouraged to bring their ideas to life in their own style.

The next stop is Makerere University, where content creators will have an opportunity to be rewarded for their creativity. The upcoming engagement will give more students a chance to discover the challenge, showcase their content and participate in Coca-Cola’s initiative to celebrate young people’s digital expression.

As social media continues to provide young people with new ways to communicate and express themselves, the Essawa Yonna Kisoboka challenge offers a platform for aspiring creators to develop their storytelling skills, grow their online presence and compete for exciting prizes.

Participants stand a chance to win weekly cash prizes and other goodies, with the leading content creator eligible to win UGX 1 million each month, subject to the official competition terms.

Performance on the monthly leaderboard is linked to eligible content and cumulative views, giving participants an incentive to remain creative and consistent throughout the competition period.

Through Essawa Yonna Kisoboka, Coca-Cola is inviting young Ugandans to use their creativity to tell stories that reflect their passions, experiences and culture.
