Shock As Egyptian Army Colonel Leaves Uganda In Tears

The UPDF Joint Chief of Staff (JCOS) Lt Gen Joseph Musanyufu on behalf of the Chief of Defence Forces Gen David Muhoozi has bid fare well to the Outgoing Egyptian Defence Attache’ to Uganda Col Hosny El Noby.
Col El Noby, who has served in Uganda for One and half years, commended UPDF for helping him achieve his country’s goals during his tour. “My good cooperation with UPDF made my work easy,” said Col Hosny.
Col El Noby expressed gratitude for the tremendous support UPDF rendered him and requested that the same be extended to his successor Brig Gen Osama Abdelfadeel Selim, whom he introduced to his host.
The JCOS applauded him for stepping up defence cooperation between UPDF and the Egyptian Armed Forces during his tour. He wished Col El Noby the best in his future assignment and requested him to be a UPDF ambassador.

The Incoming Egyptian Defence Attache Brig Selim promised to strengthen the existing mutual cooperation between Egypt and Uganda, and urged UPDF to offer training opportunities for Egyptian officers more especially at the Senior Command and Staff College in Kimaka as a measure of upping the exchange program.
The Egyptian Government has offered Uganda more training opportunities in Egypt most especially in the military field as a result of Col El Noby’s effort.
After the meeting, Lt Gen Musanyufu gave both the Outgoing and Incoming Egyptian Defence Attaches’ books detailing Uganda’s revolution titled “Sowing the Mustard Seed” and authored by President Yoweri Museveni. Brig Gen Selim also presented a souvenir to the JCOS.
Present in the meeting was Uganda Defence attaché designate to Egypt Brig Metland Bitumbika among others.
