The elders of Kawempe North have spoken out and endorsed Hajjat Hanifah Karadi for the vacant MP seat. During a gathering to pray for her candidature, the elders rallied all the people of Kawempe North to support Hajjat Hanifah Karadi in the March 13 polls.

The elders stated that she has stood firm on truth and fairness for the people of Kawempe.

They prayed and called on all residents to rally behind her if they want faster development in Kawempe North.

In a related development, members of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) in Kawempe have also decided to support Hajjat Hanifah Karadi for the Kawempe North MP seat. The seat fell vacant following the death of Hon. Muhammad Ssegirinya last month. The by-election is slated for March 13, according to the Electoral Commission.

Speaking before the elders, Hajjat Hanifah Karadi assured the people of Kawempe North that she is a reliable representative who can be entrusted with responsibilities and will fulfill them diligently. She pledged to use her strong connections to lobby for development if elected.

“Having lived in Kawempe since my university days, I know the area very well and understand the issues affecting our people. I know the solutions—give me your mandate, and I will solve them,” Hajjat Hanifah Karadi said.
