The police at the Central Police Station, Ibanda has in custody an official of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development on accusation of treason.

High-end, yet irrefutable sources say Allen Cherotich, 48, threw a water bottle at President Yoweri Museveni as he inspected the parade at St. George Teachers College, Kagongo in Ibanda district at the celebration to mark 34 years of the NRM government on Sunday.

“When Capt. Musinguzi alerted us, we couldn’t wait. We are still holding her in police custody as we establish the motive,” an officer, attached to an elite army unit, the Special Forces Command, told this news site in confidence.
