Police in Kampala Metropolitan (KMP) has started investigating circumstances under which a police attached at Bunamwaya community police post were bonkers on Tuesday afternoon and shot dead his fellow investigative officer.

According to Deputy KMP Police spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigyire, revealed that police officer PC No. 53443 Ben Ojilong had a bitter exchange with CPL No. 30007 Alex Opito before he picked his gun, shooting him dead.

’’Our officers rushed at the scene and found out that Mr.Ojilong had also committed suicide by blowing off his head ’’he said.

He was pronounced Opito dead on arrival at Kitebi hospital.A stray bullet from the incident also hit an LDU officer.
