Four Suspects Arrested In Connection To Murder Of German National

Security operatives in Entebbe led by police have arrested four people on suspicion of murdering a German national one Rudel Fredrick Werner, 70 years.

The suspects have been identified as Danialia Jackiline, Dakanimya Eria, Atwiine Jacky Jalia and Chega Babra who are currently detained at Entebbe Police Station .

Police started investigating the murder case after Lt.Jimmy Bwambale attached to Army Air defence department reported the case at Mpala Police post ,Entebbe municipality on 03/04/2020 .

The murdered German had stayed in Uganda for five years and had civil marriage with one of the prime suspects Jalia Atwine for three years but recently they separated due endless misunderstandings.

It is alleged that the deceased’s part time maid one Chega Babrah Precious came and knocked the gate but there was no response.

This raised suspicion of the reporter who happens to be the neighbour.

It was suspected that the deceased was strangled in his enclosed compound and the body later dragged to his bed room.

Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, Patrick Onyango revealed that the crime scene was thoroughly examined by the Division CID Officer, divisional scene of crime officers and the homicide team.” So far we have four suspects in our custody, they are helping the investigating team to know who was behind this heinous act”he said.

The body was later taken to Mulago City Mortuary pending post-mortem as the investigations are going on.
