High Court has ordered Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI), Uganda People’s Defence Force (UPDF), Police and Attorney General to produce City Lawyer and activist Kakwenza Rukira in court on April 27, 2020, at 11 am without fail.

Kakwenza was reportedly arrested from his home in Iganga on Tuesday, April 14, by security agents, citing cyber harassment.

However, the author of the book “GREEDY BARBARIAN” is allegedly undergoing psychological and physical torture at CMI in Mbuya for writing a book about Kayibanda.

His friends earlier said that Kakwenza has various connotations that could have upset the current political authorities.

“He went missing on Tuesday from his home in Iganga. He is said to have been picked up by security agents, allegedly, for ‘cyber harassment.’ Hoping the Iganga DPC will say something today but rumours are that he is being held at Mbuya military barracks. If so, it means the alleged cyber harassment is nothing but his book, The Greedy Barbarian,” a friend wrote on Facebook.

Apparently, only his captors who kidnapped him have access to him without allowing his wife, children, lawyers and or doctors to reach him.
