Bushenyi District — The Member of Parliament for Igara East County, Hon. Mawanda Michael Maranga, who also serves as the Director of Mobilization for the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU), has officially launched his campaign in Kararo Parish, Kyeizooba Sub-county, Bushenyi District.

The event drew a large crowd of enthusiastic supporters from both the National Resistance Movement (NRM) and the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU), reflecting growing unity and cooperation between the two political formations.

Hon. Mawanda, while addressing supporters, emphasized the importance of peace, collaboration, and shared national values ahead of the coming elections. He thanked residents for their unwavering support and urged them to focus on development, stability, and patriotism, principles that both NRM and PLU continue to champion.

“This campaign is not just about winning seats,” Hon. Mawanda said. “It’s about uniting our people under a shared vision of prosperity, peace, and service to our nation.”

The launch marks a significant milestone in Hon. Mawanda’s re-election bid, positioning him as a key figure in fostering cooperation between the ruling party and the emerging patriotic movement led by the PLU.

Local leaders from both political sides commended Hon. Mawanda for his inclusive approach, describing him as a bridge-builder committed to uniting Ugandans regardless of political affiliation.
