‘We would want to bury on Saturday but the challenge we got is that the deceased has been living with all his family in Nairobi ever since he was taken to Agakhan hospital, so all of them have to undergo a mandatory COVID-19 test yet the results can’t be made available quickly that is why we have decided to adjourn the burial arrangement up to Sunday,’ he said.

“We have made a small budget of only Sh170m and so far people have pledged to contribute,’ said Musoke.

On the pledge list there is, Hajji Manisoor Matovu with Sh30m, Hassan Basajjabalaba-Sh15m, Cafejavas tycoon-Mandella-Sh15m, Charles Mbiire-Sh10m, Hajji Badru Muwanga of Luuka Plastics-Sh5m, Uganda Hotel Owner’s Association-Sh5m, among others.

BMK passed away on Friday morning after battling a long illness in Nairobi where he was being hospitalized.
