Just In: Uganda Reopens Theatres,Entertainment Centres Amidst Surging Covid-19 Cases

Ministry of health has partially opened theatres, art galleries , cinemas and open plays since Uganda went into lockdown this match due to deadly COVID-19 pandemic.

This good news was revealed by  chairperson Board of Trustees of National Cultural Centre (UNCC) Sam Okello Kelo said that Government of Uganda accepted to relax on the lockdown starting with the launch of the virtual 3rd UNCC Annual Arts and Culture festival 2020 which is going to take place on Saturday 20th December 2020.

UNCC Ugandan Statutory body that was established on 8th October 1959 by the Uganda National Cultural Centre Act, 1959 as amended in 1965 with the mandate of Preserving, Promoting and Popularizing Uganda’s cultural heritage both locally and internationally

Okello emphasised that all theatres must follow the Standard Operating Procedures set by ministry of health to fight the spread of covid-19 pandemic.

They will also be operating from open spaces following social distance with in the time range of 7am to 7pm .
