President Yoweri Museveni and Speaker Rebeccca Kadaga on Monday evening attended a fundraising event for the Quiin Abenakyo Foundation.

The memorable event was held at Sheraton Kampala Hotel.

The latter is geared at fighting teenage pregnancies and child marriages.

President Museveni contributed Shs120m to the event.

He blamed PTA fees for forcing girls out of school; hence the teenage pregnancies and early marriages.

Teenage pregnancies and child marriages, he said, are exacerbated by endless school charges, at the behest of PTAs.

Kadaga in her turn said all Ugandans should support the president to render formal education completely free.

“Personally, I am happy to associate with a focused youth such as Quiin Abenakyo,” Kadaga noted.
