In a renewed effort to unlock opportunity for Uganda’s brightest minds, the Muljibhai Madhvani Foundation has announced UGX 750 million in scholarships for the 2026–2027 academic year.

For over two decades, the Foundation has quietly but consistently transformed lives—supporting thousands of students whose journeys have led them into careers in medicine, engineering, business, academia, and public service.

The latest scholarship offering continues this legacy, targeting high-achieving students facing financial barriers, and enabling them to pursue both undergraduate and postgraduate studies in fields that shape Uganda’s future.

Delivering his remarks at the launch, the Board Chairman called on beneficiaries to embrace both the opportunity and responsibility that comes with it:

“Every scholar who receives support becomes part of a legacy—carrying forward not only their own ambitions, but the aspirations of their communities and country.”  Said Ssendawula

Guided by the theme “Torch of Legacy,” the programme reflects a belief that education is not only a personal milestone, but a shared investment in national progress.

Prospective applicants have until 30 April 2026 to submit their applications.
