Brig. Gen. William Bainomugisha, the commandant of the Military Police Brigade, has urged soldiers to be agents of change in their respective units.

He made this call on September 19, 2023, while addressing the pass-out ceremony of soldiers from various Military Police units who were undergoing a three-week ideological orientation course at the Military Police Headquarters in Kampala.

He urged the soldiers to implement what they had learned during the three-week orientation and thanked the leadership for taking the initiative to educate the troops.

Brig. Bainomugisha further urged the soldiers to stop engaging in dangerous acts of indiscipline and to start saving early in order to prepare for their retirement.

“Desist from dangerous acts of indiscipline, promiscuous lifestyles, alcoholism, and save early in preparation for retirement,” he advised.

Lt. Col. Musenene, the commander of Brigade Operations and Training, called upon the soldiers to always read more and get ready for further courses.

The best performers in the training included Sgt. Ssempa Siraj, an overall student; Pte. Mark Edson Kwisanga; Pte. Adokorach Immaculate; and L/Cpl. Sumini Matama, who excelled in discipline.
