MP Ssegirinya Re-arrested At Kigo Prison Over Treason Charges

Member of parliament for Kawempe North Honourable Muhammad Ssegirinya has been re-arrested outside Kigo Prison.

Ssegirinya’s bail papers were confiscated as soon as he stepped out of Kigo prison in the same manner as MP Allan Ssewanyana.

He was also re-arrested and taken in a drone.

“We want to inform the public that Hon Ssegirinya Mohammad has also been rearrested on fresh charges of treason and incitement to violence by the joint security task team of investigators,” CP Fred Enanga, Police spokesperson confirmed Monday evening.

“He has been transferred to the Special Investigations Division, in Kireka for further statement recording and action,” he added.

Today, Ssewanyana made a statement at the same station.EU
