Museveni Names New Commander Land Forces, Promotes Son To Full General

After a series of jokes gone wrong about capturing Nairobi in two weeks by Museveni’s son and commander land forces of the Uganda People’s Defense Forces (UPDF) Muhoozi Keinerugaba, news reaching our desk indicate his father has promoted him and also dropped him.

Tweets by the first son elicited mixed reactions from netizens especially Kenyans who called on the president to tame his son because his tweets were not good for the good relationship of Kenya and Uganda.

The commander land forces might have been following and has listened to their plea by promoting his son for a full general and dropped him from being the Commander land forces, Museveni has appointed the current operation Shuja boss Lt Gen Kayanja Muhanga as the new Commander land forces.

The president also promoted the new Land forces commander Muhanga to Major General.
