Museveni Promotes Deputy CMI Boss Rugumayo To Brigadier

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni who is also commander in chief of armed forces has promoted UPDF 72 officers from junior to different senior ranks.

According to UPDF spokesperson Brig. Felix Kulaigye revealed in a tweet that General Museveni with immediate effect promoted colonel Abdul Rugumayo to Brigadier.

Rugumayo is currently the deputy commander of Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence ‘CMI’.

Other 71 UPDF Officers promoted involved the ranks of Captain, Major and Lieutenant.

Brig Kulayigye revealed that promotion of UPDF soldiers normally depends on training, discipline and special achievements based on individual brilliance.
