Panic: Two NRM Secretariat Staff Test Positive For Covid-19

National Residence Movement ‘NRM’ Party secretariat is in panic after two of its workers are suspected to have tested positive for coronavirus.

Justine Kasule Lumumba the NRM secretary general confirmed the news through her twitter account.

“This morning, two of our staff at the NRM Secretariat tested positive for COVID-19 and have been admitted to the Hospital for proper care. We are working with the technical people and further guidance to be given in due course.I urge everyone to stay alert, healthy & safe” she tweeted.

This comes after the ministry of health announced that it confirmed five (5) new COVID-19 cases , four (4) of whom are alerts from Kampala Metropolitan Area while the other one (1) case is a contact to a previously confirmed case who was under quarantine at the time of the test.

 

Uganda is currently having a total of 1,140 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 1,028  recoveries and two (2) COVID19 deaths.
