The leader of the Faith of Unity movement Omukama Ruhaga Owobusobozi Bisaka and his followers have endorsed President Yoweri Museveni as the sole National Resistance Movement (NRM) party presidential candidate for the 2026 general election.

He made the revelation on Sunday in Nabingoopa Town Council, Mubende District when he was inaugurating 640 people as full Bahereza (Staff ) and also 230 people who joined the Faith of Unity (EZIKIRIZA YA BISAKA). These came from Catholicism, Anglican, Seventh-day and others from African traditional religions (Abasamize). The special function was organised by Omukwenda Amurika the head of the Faith of Unity in Mubende Bukwenda (Diocese).

Owobusobozi Bisaka further argued people in the Buganda region support President Museveni because of his contribution towards keeping peace in the country and that for the last 38 years, Uganda has been peaceful.
“We laud the NRM government for maintaining peace for the last 38 years. As Ugandans, we need to use the available peace by tapping into government programs and work hard to transform our Families,” Bisaka said.

According to Bisaka, the peace brought by Museveni has helped the Faith of Unity movement to grow.
“Because of that freedom under the NRM government, led by President Museveni, we can express ourselves freely without limitation. The conducive environment has allowed all the faiths in the country to spread the gospel,” Bisaka said.

On the other hand, Owobusobozi Bisaka further disclosed that before the coming of whites, Africans were one but the whites and other foreign religions divided us while using the Bible and Quran as a critical tool of division.

“The Bazungu (White) came softly with a key mission to own our continent of total destruction, for example, they told you “happier are the poor because they will inherit the kingdom of God ” and we the Africans accepted!!”

Owobusobozi adds that the Bazungu used this as an entry point for making Africans baggers but Africans never understood.

He again advised Ugandans and Africans not at any time to accept the Bazungu way of Marrying man to man and woman to woman (Homosexual) because the whites are only aiming at Perishing our continent, Owobusobozi emphasized that Homosexual is not our culture as Africans and its only President Museveni who will save the Nation and the continent as he has been doing.

He argued all Ugandans to avoid differences in religions, tribes, racism and sectarianism if they are to develop and also use the Faith of Unity calendar which gives 27 days of working and 3 days of worshipping if they are to actively participate in their country’s National GDP and the entire continent.

He finally appreciated President Museveni for his new vehicle and other contributions towards the socio-economic development of the faith.
