Humanitarian Zabib Musa Loro of South Sudan has secured a place among the world’s most powerful changemakers, earning recognition in the prestigious TIME100 — TIME Magazine’s annual list of the 100 most influential people globally.

Loro, named among the 100 most influential women in the world by the U.S. publication, has been hailed as a visionary whose relentless work has transformed lives across Uganda and South Sudan. From refugee support initiatives to community resilience programs, her footprint spans borders and generations.

The accolade places Loro in rare company, affirming her status as one of Africa’s most consequential humanitarian voices.

Her ascent continues on the continent. Loro has also been nominated for Africa’s biggest celebration of women’s leadership — the Thamani Africa Awards, set for 9th May in Nairobi. The awards honor trailblazing women shaping Africa’s social, economic, and political landscape.

“Zabib represents the very best of African leadership: courage, service, and impact without borders,” said a Thamani Africa Awards spokesperson.

As global and continental honors converge, colleagues and beneficiaries alike are celebrating Loro’s win. From Juba to Kampala, tributes describe her as a hard-working, visionary leader whose compassion has become policy and whose advocacy has become hope.

Africa and the world have joined efforts in celebrating Zabib Musa Loro, a daughter of South Sudan whose influence now speaks for the continent.
