State Anti-Corruption Unit,Attorney General & 3 Others Sued Over City Land Interference

A landlord in Kira Municipality has dragged five people to court for ignoring the decision of court in a matter involving his pieces of land in Namugongo.

Yusuf Ssemakula, through his lawyers of MBS Advocates pins Jackson Tweheyo, Moses Lukyamuzi, Henry Isoke (the Head of the State House Anti-Corruption Unit), Justus Twinamatsiko and the Attorney General Kiryowa Kiwanuka for interfering with his right of ownership and quiet enjoyment of his land
comprised in Kyadondo Block 222 formerly lot 26 now Plots 1785, 1786, 1787, 1910, 1911, 3914, 3915, 3913, 3912, 1799, 1798, 1797, 1796, 1795, 1794, 1792, 1781, 1782, 1770, 1771, 1772, 1773, 1774, 1784 and 1783 in Namugongo, Kira, Wakiso district.

Ssemakula wants court to declare Tweheyo, Lukyamuzi, Isoke and Twinamatsiko to be in contempt of lawful court orders that were issued in respect of the said land.

He also wants a declaration that the conduct of the plaintiffs to investigate the matters that were determined by the High Court, Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court to amount to sub-judice, jeopardy and res-judicata, as well as a declaration that the plaintiffs are not fit and proper persons to hold any position in any Public Office.

Court documents show that Ssemakula wants a declaration that the AG vicariously liable for the actions and omissions of Isoke and Lukyamuzi and others, that they committed in their official capacity.

The plaintiff wants an injunction restraining Isoke and co. from interfering with the said lawful court orders and the plaintiff’s quiet enjoyment of his land.

On top of the above, Ssemakula wants Shs 1 billion, punitive damages, interest of 25% on Shs 1 billion and punitive damages, cost of suit and “any other relief this Honourable Court may deem fit.

Efforts to speak to named persons were futile by the time of this publications.
