Kololo Independence Grounds will on Tuesday 23rd September 2025 transform into a festival of music, dance, and comedy as President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni officially launches his 2026 election campaign under the slogan “Protecting the Gains.”

The event will be in the aftermath of his nomination by the Electoral Commission at its new premises in Lweza-Lubowa.

To crown the day, a powerful lineup of entertainers drawn from all corners of Uganda has been assembled, making the celebration both star-studded and all-inclusive.

What’s a long day of celebrations without cracking a rib? The entertainment will also include some of Uganda’s best comedians. Among them will be Madrat and Chiko, Dr. Hilary, Teacher Mpamire, Salvado, and Pastor Twine Herbert ensuring the audience laughs as much as they dance.

With such an all-inclusive lineup representing every region of Uganda, Kololo is expected to turn into a true national celebration.
