The Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA) has seized nine aircraft that were abandoned at Entebbe International Airport.

These various types of aircraft were left by their owners, leading to concerns about safety and environmental hazards.

Vianney Luggya, the spokesperson of UCCA confirmed the September 10, 2024, action stating that it aims to address safety and environmental concerns associated with the neglected aircraft.

The UCAA has stated that the seizure is part of a broader effort to manage and maintain the airport effectively.

It is reported that CAA has been in  negotiations with the owners of these aircrafts but have seemed not to interest in taking them back.
