United Opposition: Holy Alliance Roots For Joint Ugandan Presidential Candidate In 2026 Polls

Political organizations under their collective umbrella, HOLY ALLIANCE, have backed an decision of fronting a person to stand as president in the forthcoming 2026 Elections and other people in different positions across the country.

Today!, these converged to brainstorm on how they can influence change in Uganda’s political Environment.

At the start of this year, five opposition political parties that included, JEEMA, NEED, UPC, SDP, CP, and activist group, the DP BLOC took a unanimous decision to ally in a bid to foster change in the so called *Holy Alliance.*

Ever since, these parties have severally engaged to come up with collective aims and creating a strong pillar upon which they will trade.

In this manner, all political organizations under this alliance have unanimously taken a decision to front a person to represent them in the upcoming 2026 Presidential Elections, other people in different positions across the country.

Joseph Kabuleta the President of National Economic Empowerment Dialogue (NEED ) admits that the alliance is built on strong pillars but went on to cautious fellows not to be diverted in anyway as it may crumble the alliance.

Members of the alliance have revealed that, they are well aware of some of the issues that have led to collapse of many alliances but admitted that this is the time to have objective-oriented politics and uniting the country on fundamental matters for change.

These have gone ahead to support electoral reforms to foster violent-free 2026 election.

In this season, different political parties are heavily engaging on how to canvass support over fellows in the play.
